Hello.
It was great to find on the web a picture of the church my father (Michael Weber II) was baptized at in the village of Herina.
His last name obviously implies he was Saxon.
I have an old picture (taken in early 1920’s or early 1930’s) of the same church in Herina (MöNCHSDORF before Second World War) up on the hill. My Grandmother had the picture of the church hanging on her wall. She also had an old photo of what the church used to look like inside. I have that picture too. By the age of the picture, I am assuming the picture was taken in the late 1920’s or early 1930’s.
My father and his parents left Herina immediately after the Second World War. He eventually came to Canada.
My name is also Michael Weber III.
It would be nice to receive word back from anyone who may remotely know of the Weber’s of MöNCHSDORF before the Second World War. Also, my father’s parents were Michael Weber I, and Maria (Göndosch) Weber.
Michael Weber I parents were John Weber and Katherine (Mates) Weber.
Maria Göndosch parents were John Göndosch, and Katherine (Göndosch) Göndosch

I’m not from Herina, I’m a journalist from Bucharest and I’ve been only once in Herina, last year, at an art exhibition opening.
But I can tell you the church has been recently refurbished, after a very long period of decay and indiference. And it’s a beautiful place
I would really like to see how the place looked like in the ’20’s. But unfortunately, I do not know anything about the Weber’s family…

Eu sint din Herina ,m-am nascut acolo ,am invatat primele 4 clase la scoala din apropiere de biserica .Da ,intradevar este un monument de o valoare incontestabila si ma mindresc ca sint HERINEAN….din spusele parintiilor mei am auzit despre familialui Michael Gondosch si stiu si despre familia Weber care inca mai locuieste in Herina …michael i know abouth bouth families Gondosch and Weber…..
